Edit activity map
Edit activity map _
This application is a viewer and editor for activities in Cortical activity file(.act.mat). New activity map can be created by integrating multiple activityies.
Required files _
- Cortical model file(.brain.mat)
- Cortical activity file(.act.mat)
How to launch _
- project_mgr : [Tools]->[Edit activity map]
- M-function : vb_job_edit_act(brain_file, act_file)
Screen _

Functions _
- File menu

- Load cortical surface model
- Load VBMEG cortical model file(.brain.mat)
- Load activity map
- Load VBMEG cortical activity file(.act.mat)
- Loaded files
- Display loaded files.
- Close
- Close the window.
- Activity map list
It shows activities that the specified cortical activity file(.act.mat) contains.
- << Replace
Map one of the activities that you select from the "Activity map list" onto a cortical model.
- << Maximum
Calculate largest T-value for each vertex between selected activity data and activity map.
- << Average
Calculate mean T-value for each vertex between selected activity data and activity map.
- Normalize
Normalise T-values of activity map between 0 to 1.
- Clear
Clear data on a cortex model.
- Undo
Cancel a previous operation.
- Store activity map / Delete activity map
- "Store activity map"
- Save an activity map into cortical activity file(.act.mat).
- "Delete activity map"
- Delete selected activity data from cortical activity file(.act.mat).
- Activity map
Activity map is shown in the figure.
[Mouse operations]
These three operations are supported.- Select Vertex
- double-click on the cortex, a vertex is selected and a cross-hair cursor appears as below.

- Rotate model
- right-drag on the cortex.
- Zoom
- mouse wheel on the cortex.
- Color scale
Set color scale in the [minValue maxValue] order. Activity map will be coloured with the lowest or highest value in the colormap, respectively.

- Camera view
Change camera view by left/right/bottom/top button. Push "Right" button to change the viewpoint to look at the cortical model from right.
- Print
Save Activity map as a eps-file(.eps). Press the "Print" button, save file dialog will apppear.
- Smoothing
- Gaussian
- Gaussian smoothing is applied to activity map.
- Step function
- Step function filter is applied to activity map.
- Display settings of Hemisphere/Model
- Hemisphere
- checked hemisphere(s) are shown.
- Model type
- Choose Folded model or Inflated model.

- Selected Vertex information
Selected vertex number and coodinate value of standard brain is shown.
Choose one of the coordinate system("Talairach" or "MNI"), coodinate value will be updated.
